*Made of breathable top grain 100% leather: Natural materials such as canvas and leather keeps your baby’s feet dry by allowing air in the shoe so little feet naturally cool off, breath easily and don’t excessive sweat. Shoes made of manmade materials such as imitation leather and plastic encourage feet to sweat excessively thus causing painful skin irritations and blisters. Our shoes are made of 100% leather, inside and out, so those footsies stay comfy, fresh and kissable!

*Soft, flexible and non-slip soles: Baby shoes should provide traction, so that babies can use his or her feet properly and freely for balance. Soft, flexible, and non-slip soles such as rubber and leather are safer and healthier for feet. Traditional hard and stiff baby shoes interfere with toe and foot mobility. Our shoes have either leather or rubber soles.

*Leather lined: Leather lining naturally cools off perspiring feet, and keeps feet dry and sanitized. Leather lined shoes are softer and more comfortable than manmade materials. Leather lined is a standard feature in The Proud Tot’s Shoe Collection.

*Generous widths: Baby’s shoes should be roomy and allow the toes to wiggle. Our baby leather shoes have generous widths, so even chubby little baby feet fit right in comfortably!

*Cleanable: It’s important to keep shoes clean and sanitized to maintain healthy feet. Our leather shoes wipe clean with a damp cloth inside and out.

*Affordably Priced: Children’s feet grow up to five sizes within the first year of life, and about 2 sizes per year from ages 1 to 5, so it is not wise to invest in very expensive shoes. Quality and comfort should not be judged solely on price. Excellent quality comfortable and good fitting shoes are available at affordable prices.

Additionally, shoes should be “aired out” to maintain them fresh and avoid rapid wear deterioration. For the purpose of airing, it’s better to buy a child 2 pairs of good quality $25 shoes than a single shoe with similar features for $50, so the shoes can be rotated. *Velcro Fasteners: Velcro fasteners are a good choice for baby shoes since they prevent trips and falls from constant loose laces, and are easier and faster to fasten for the grownups. Because toddlers don’t tie nor can learn how to tie laces!, our shoes have Velcro fasteners with the exception of our vintage buckled shoes.

Currently we do not manufacture squeaky shoes. The Mary Jane Squeaks! shoes we're carrying for a limited time are by 'Kids Shoes'. They're made of a breathable brocade canvas fabric with a cotton liner and a PVC sole. These humorous and totally cute toddler squeaky shoes will be an instant favorite. They squeak with every move, perfect to motivate and keep those first steps going! Best yet, they provide you with the safety of knowing where those little feet are heading!

Packaging: Most of our shoes are packed in our signature clear plastic tote bags.
